for crowd control in displaying high-end giveaway items
such as automobiles and motorcycles).

The Process: Seminole
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino had become familiar with
MDM Display & Design Services, Inc., through working
with our Holiday Décor Installation Department.
They approached MDM about developing a more creative
means of displaying and presenting their giveaways.
Our team presented the concept of burnished aluminum
guitar stanchions. Using a Fender Stratocaster as the
model, MDM presented a prototype consisting of a guitar
face, neck, and back done in burnished aluminum with
our cross hatch finish.
As authenticity of design was one
of the client's primary requirements, it was necessary
to create the piece completely to scale. To replicate
the thickness of the Fender model, our design team incorporated
a ¾" custom cut acrylic guitar body that
was inserted between the burnished aluminum face and
back plates. As the finishing touch, the client's logo
was laser etched into the base of each stanchion. The
final units accomplished all of the client's goals and
have taken the necessary use of stanchions from merely
functional safety tools to an artistic complement to
the overall display.
