The Process: The adage "Word of
mouth is the best form of advertising," is certainly
true when it comes this client. After seeing the guitar
stanchions created by MDM for their sister property,
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa, Hard
Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi requested a proposal
for several pieces needed in anticipation of their property's
July '07 grand opening. The challenge: design, create,
and deliver a custom podium, brochure rack, 24 directional
signs, and 400 room cards within three weeks.
Since the client was already familiar
with MDM's burnished aluminum products, it was used
for all of the pieces. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
Biloxi liked the idea of incorporating concert trussing
into the podium's design, but they wanted something
more creative than the standard piece of truss with
diamond plate. Our team produced a custom, one-of-a-kind
podium that accomplishes both an upscale and a rock-n-roll
feel.
Exemplifying MDM's commitment to
exceeding their client's xpectations, the designs for
all of the pieces were created and approved within one
week, production was completed in less than two weeks,
and MDM President Mike Mathews and COO Diana Paulison
personally trucked the items from Port Richey, FL to
Biloxi, MS to ensure timely delivery.
