The Process: Working
on behalf of a major national trade organization, Wizards
Studio North contracted MDM Display & Design Services,
Inc. to build, assemble, and store a custom trade show
booth. The client provided an artist's rendering to
MDM's Design Department that showed a magazine and newspaper
stand similar to those found on the sidewalks of New
York City.
MDM's first step was to develop the
picture into a complete shop drawing, adjusting the
measurements where needed to fit within standard trade
show exhibit space sizes as well as accommodate the
magazine display rack feature that was integral to the
client's vision. Within five days, MDM created a practical,
attractive, unit that is portable and easily maneuvers
in and out of venue doorways and transport trucks.
The booth is now shipped to several
shows around the country each year; in between appearances
it is stored and maintained (including necessary repairs
and paint touch- ups) at MDM's Port Richey, FL warehouse.
