The Process: For
Hawaii's premiere shopping, dining, and entertainment
destination, Baltimore based holiday décor company
The Becker Group designed an elaborate menehune (Hawaiian
elf) storybook-themed Christmas program. An
ongoing satisfied customer of MDM Display and Design
Services, Inc.'s Holiday Décor Installation department,
Becker recommended that Ala Moana
Center contract MDM to facilitate this massive project.
Armed with blue prints, site pictures, a materials list,
and artists' renderings of the
finished project, our 30 member crew worked round the
clock to hand cart in, unpack, prep, and assemble five
40' long shipping containers worth of pre-fabricated
materials. Our thorough planning and ability to recognize
potential pitfalls ahead of time, such as lack of cargo
truck access to the
site areas, allowed us to successfully complete the
project within the requisite six-day time frame.
